I'M BAAAAACKKKK!!!

been absence in drawing for quite some days cuz of my sickness had made my hand feel kinda numb to draw anything...TT-TT...

so...I made this to stimulate my hand in CG painting again(I didn't do CG for a week and didn't touch paper and pencil for 10 days cuz of my sickness...)and encouraged myself to make a monster CG painting...something that I never did before...

not only that...I also do this in 1 layer only!!!

hehehehe...except for some textured effect on his weapon and body...I did it on different layer...so I only use 3 layers total(1 BG layer,1 object layer and 1 textured effect layer)...

Just in case you're wondering about my new avatar itself...it was this character...Joker from Kamen Rider/Masked Rider Blade series...and he's the main villain on that series...and...I like this character design very much:D
I draw this based on the SIC form of Joker and also using some reference on the episodes itself...drawn directly on Photoshop CS3^^

Well...mebbe some of you kinda surprised when seeing this pic...cuz it's not like what I usually did...but it's always good to make some kind of variations,no^^?

I know this didn't looked good...cuz I felt that my CG ability kinda downgrade since my sickness...-_-

From a distance, I thought it was that "Alien" movie fan-art lol. Very good for one layer too, I guess it feels more "painterly" that way, I normally use multiple layers, but rarely more than 20...others I watch say they have around 200 layers...I really don't think that amount is necesssary ;wtf:

Now that you mention it...it does really looked like Alien...lol^^

It was so hard to paint something that you never did before in 1 layer only...cuz I paint over the lineart...on the same layer with the lineart as well...fortunately I also use some screensgots and reference piccu for this character to check if I missed some details or not^^

I really have no idea to them who tend to use tons of layers...for me 20 layers is a max...otherwise my laptop might freeze...moreover,less layers are much more organized and efficient than multiple layers^^

abis tumben banget seh ni gambar sekali bikin langsung jadi...mayan cepet juga seh bikinnya^^
